About Me
My interest in art began in childhood, encouraged by my parents, who introduced me to the arts and to the many museums in the Metropolitan New York area where I grew up. Those early experiences sparked a lasting curiosity and a deep appreciation for the traditions of drawing and painting. I continued to pursue art throughout middle and high school, later earning a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Rochester Institute of Technology, where I explored a variety of artistic media.
My professional career has taken me through several creative disciplines, including graphic and jewelry design in New York and textile and graphic design in Massachusetts. Each experience strengthened my appreciation for craftsmanship, composition, design, and the thoughtful process of making. Personally, I continued to paint for pleasure, and even opened a gallery in Lowell Massachusetts for my work and the work of local artists. The arts community has always been important to me.
After moving to Florida in 2023, I returned to my longstanding passion for painting and drawing and began formal training as an apprentice at the Miano Academy of Art. My studies have focused on traditional atelier processes, with a particular interest in the figure and portrait.
Today, I am continuing to build upon that foundation, bringing together the skills, experiences, and influences gathered throughout my life. I look forward to exploring where this journey in painting will lead and to creating work that reflects both my training and my personal vision."
